Installing the Apple CarPlay screen is very easy and works in all cars, so you’ll be on your way to smarter and safer driving in less than 5 minutes. Here’s how:

1. Place the screen in your car. The CarPlay screen fits perfectly in your car without blocking your view. You can rotate the screen as you like and mount it both on your dashboard and on your windshield using the 2 holders we provide.

2. Turn on the screen: Simply plug the cable from the Apple CarPlay screen into the cigarette lighter socket in your (older) car. Don’t worry, 99% of vehicles have one of these ports, so this step is almost always possible.

3. Connect your phone: Choose your connection method. Opt for convenience with a wireless Bluetooth connection, or choose a cable for a direct connection that also charges your phone. Either way, you’ll be ready within seconds.

4. Set up the audio: Then connect the screen to the speakers in your (older) car for optimal sound. Use the included AUX cable for a direct connection or choose the built-in FM transmitter for a wireless connection. Setup takes only a few minutes, and then you're ready to drive.

Does this also work with Android phones?

Yes, of course! It works with all Android phones, so you have Android Auto in your car.

How do I connect it to my car speakers?

Choose a frequency on DrivePlay, for example: FM 93.6MHz. (Avoid choosing a transmission frequency that overlaps with the local broadcast frequency to prevent signal interference.)

On your original car radio, search for the radio frequency FM 93.6MHz in this example. The sound from DrivePlay will then play through the original car speakers. Very simple! If you still have problems, you can always contact our team of specialists.

How do I connect a rear-facing camera?

1. Connect two loose wires to the taillight:

Find the two wires coming from the taillight. These are normally a positive (plus) wire and a negative (minus) wire.

Then connect them to the wires from the camera.

2. Mount the camera at the rear of the car:

Choose a suitable location for the camera, such as the license plate light or another place on the rear bumper that provides a good view.

Use the included mounting materials to secure the camera firmly.

3. Connect the red and yellow connectors to the camera:

The red connector is for power, and the yellow one is for the video signal.

Connect these connectors to the corresponding ports on the camera.

4. Route the cables from the red and yellow connectors from the rear to the front through the car:

Route the cables from the rear to the front of the vehicle, ensuring they are not visible and cannot be pinched when the seats or other parts move.

5. Connect to the DrivePlay screen:

Connect the other end of the cables to the DrivePlay screen on your car's dashboard.

How do I install DrivePlay in my car?

Installing DrivePlay is very simple. Mount it on your dashboard, plug it into your car charger, and easily connect your phone via Bluetooth or a USB cable. You then plug the USB cable into DrivePlay. Therefore, you do not need to have a USB port in your car for this.

How do I connect it to my car speakers?
